Algebra II: We worked in the lab today, and most people are finishing through Unit 17. If you are not on unit 25 by now, be absolutely sure that you have a plan to be working on the tutor during mornings (there are no after school tutoring sessions left!) Homework is P.138 1-9 all, 1-3, be sure to describe your transformations!

Algebra I:We worked on quadratic equations with a bx term in them. Remember that equations look like y=+- ax^2+bx+c where +/- makes it open up or down, a is a dilation that makes it skinny if you use a value greater than one, and fat if the a value is less than one, c moves the graph up or down, and b moves your parabola in 2 dimensions. Your axis of symmetry is the line that goes through the vertex, and is always in the form of x= ___ while the vertex itself is the maximum or minimum point of your parabola.
Homework is to finish the worksheet from class -- don't forget to get this done, too many people's grades are falling because of homework!
