Algebra II: Work on your project -- it is due on Wednesday. Look below for the writeup.
Algebra I: We went to the lab on Friday, and most people are catching up to where they are supposed to be. Only 3 more lab sessions left! No new homework.
Review Project
Your task is to prepare both yourself, as well as your classmates for the final. I have broken down the material that we covered this year into small packets of 1 to 4 sections for each of you to tackle.
First, you must re-familiarize yourself with the subject matter. Do this by picking up your book and actually reading the section. Yes, read every page, every word – we may have missed something in our fast paced romp through the book. Second, start an outline of the section(s) and be sure to focus on the Key Concepts in each section. You are producing a document that everyone will look over to study for the final, so be thorough. Next, create four UNIQUE examples (not examples from your text or notetaking guide) and work them through to completion. It is very important that you check your work with these examples to be sure you are correct! Finally, create 4 questions and supply answers separate for review/quiz use. Two of your questions will be used on an in class review quiz, and two will be used just for review..
Breakdown of points:
Class work portion:
Thorough outline of section(s) 15 points
Key Concepts clearly shown 5 points
Homework portion:
Examples with solutions 10 points
Questions for review/quiz 10 points
Total value for assignment (scaled by a factor of 2) 40 classroom pts
40 homework pts
